GHANA FA SACK BLACK STARS HEAD COACH CHRIS HUGHTON AFTER AFCON EXIT
The Ghana Football Association have announced that Chris Hughton has been relieved of his duties as the head coach of the Black Stars after their team was knocked out of the Africa Cup of Nations AFCON.
The Executive Council has also dissolved the technical crew of the National Team as the Black Stars failed to win any of their three group-stage matches at the ongoing AFCON in Ivory Coast, picking up just one point and finishing third in Group B.
The Black Stars had a chance of qualifying to the round of 16 as one of the best third-placed teams. But disappointing conceedef twice in added time having initially had advantage with a lead.
Meanwhile the Ghana Football Association has promised to provide roadmap on the future direction of the Black Stars in the coming days.
