President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria international Victor Osimhen on winning the CAF Men’s Player of the Year Award.

The President also celebrated the outstanding performance of the female national team the Super Falcons for the clinched 2023 CAF Women’s National Team of the Year. Chaimaka Nnadozie won the award for the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, while Asisat Oshoala remarkable achievements was rewarded for the sixth time, CAF Women’s Player of the Year.

Meanwhile, Italian Serie A  giant Napoli, reports claim has offered Nigeria star forward Victor Osimhen a new contract extension that will keep him in the club until June 2026.

Osimhen featured in 32 times for Napoli in Serie A last season, scoring 26 goals. The topnotch striker also won the Golden Boot and earned the Napples club the Scudetto for the first time in 30 years.

The 24 year-old,reports claim is on the radar of Arsenal and Chelsea which some pundits have said the clubs will have to break the ‘bank rooftop’ to get the services of the 2023 CAF Best Player of the Year, Osimhen.
