NEW SEASON START BECKONS IN PREMIER LEAGUE AS CHELSEA BATTLE LIVERPOOL
The 23/24 Premier League Season will begin on Friday, August 11 as Manchester City will begin their bid for a record fourth consecutive title against Burnley on the opening day.
Manchester City had won last season’s title after coming out top in their battle with Arsenal. The schedule for this season comes a week later than the 2022/2023 season.
The winter break will return in expectedly from January 12 and 20 after the busy Christmas period which some teams usually pull surprise results.
The FIFA World Cup had disrupted last season’s campaign but the new season comes with the normal calendar and final round fixtures will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
On Saturday August 12, 2023 all matches will kick off after noon with Arsenal facing last season relegation survival Nottingham Forest at 12.30 pm, Bournemouth will clash with West Ham at 3, pm
Other matches are Everton against Fulham while Sheffield United battle Crystal Palace at 3.pm and Newcastle meet Aston Villa at 5.30 pm coupled with Manchester United across the opening weekend.
Also, Brentford face Tottenham Hotspur and the top match of the fixtures obviously is Chelsea against Liverpool at 5.30 pm Saturday.
