NAIJA SUPER 8 : ENYIMBA SET FOR LAGOS ARENA BATTLE AGAINST SPORTING FC DESPITE DEFEAT TO REMO
Enyimba international suffered a 2-1 defeat to Remo Stars in their Naija Super 8 national tournament at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
But are battle ready for the next game despite defeat to Remo Stars.

The NPFL champions had trailed behind in the 20th minute when top striker Isaac James scored, beating goalkeeper Olorunleke.
The two- time CAF Champions League winner bounced back with an equaliser through Chisom Okereke after a brilliant pass from Nonso Nzediegwu just five minutes after Remo Stars’ opener. Despite coordinated play from Aba base club the first half- ended 1-1.
On resumption of the second half Isaac James kept the momentum that led to his first half goal. The effort from the new signing for the Sagamu base club paid –off in the 58 minutes as he made a brilliant cross to Seun Ogunribide who netted the winner to the jubilation of their fans at the former Onikan Stadium.
The beauty of their fans jubilation was re-echoed by Arena’s stands out following reconstruction of the stadium at the heart of commercial city of West Africa.
Meanwhile, Enyimba coach and former Ajax Amsterdam winger, George Finidi strongly believes his team will bounce back with two matches remaining in their Group A Fixture.
‘’I think everything is possible. We will not relent in our effort as we still have two more games to play, and we will give our best to make sure that we qualify.’’ Finidi said, according to Soccernet.
He added ‘’ I also think this team will get better as we progress. With this first game, we can see where we are and can also see where we need to measure up and by the time we play the second match, it’s going to be different from what we saw here today.’’ The UEFA Champions League winner said.
Finidi further said, ‘’ We have two more games, and I think will win them and get to the semi- final, then we’ll see what happens.’’
Enyimba will play their Group A game fixture against Sporting FC of Lagos on Sunday 4.30pm, before they battle the final group match against Katsina United on Tuesday.
