ANTHONY JOSHUA SET FOR SUMMER SHOWDOWN AGAINST DILLIAN WHYTE IN O2 ARENA

Nigeria descent and two time boxing world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is set for a summer showdown against Dillian Whyte in a highly anticipated rematch in London August 12.

The British -Nigerian having made a resurgence of his career after two consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, won his last fight against Jermaine Franklin in a unanimous- point’s victory decision in April. And the turbulent times assumable looks over the 33 year-old as the shock defeat to Andy Ruiz in June 2019 has been kept behind with result drive of victory.

Although Dillian Whyte had beaten Joshua during amateur period in 2009 both have had rising careers with the Nigeria descent having a better run becoming two- time heavyweight champion and defeating Whyte in December 2015. Whyte’s career has not followed the same trajectory as he lost the fight against Tyson Fury last year in London.

The pair are set for the summer showdown at the O2 Arena having ascended the global perceived rating. Obviously, knows the fight is going to be intriguing, deciding who could fight Deontay Wilder in December in Saudi Arabia.

Both are well prepared according to promoter Eddie Hearn and he is excited Whyte agreed to remove a re-match clause, clearing the atmosphere it is likely both fighters might not face each other in the long term adversaries.

The summer showdown which comes as a surprise to Hearn, ‘’this fight is happening and there was absolutely no stopping either man.’’ Eddie said. He sees the rivalry as one that runs deep and they will never back down from each other.

Meanwhile, Dilian Whyte is excited the fight is coming at the O2 Arena on August 12 describing the match as one going to war. It’s 1-1, so this is the decider.
