The Brazilian Football Federation has reached an agreement with coach Fernando Diniz of Fluminense to combine his role to become the interim coach of Brazil national team until Carlo Ancelotti finishes his contract with Real Madrid.

The coach of Rio de Janeiro club has reportedly agreed to receive a small fee with an agreement with the club, he will be released during international breaks. The contract expectedly will be six months or a year according to Marca as reported by TV Globo which cites sources from Brazil Football Confederation.

Brazil commences next round of international matches in September when they face Bolivia and Peru in qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. And the Italian whose contract runs until the end of June 2024 could be available for consultation in selection before the 2024 Copa America which takes place in June.

Ednaldo Rodrigues who has been an admirer of coach Ancelotti was rumoured to have shown interest earlier in the year of having the Italian to be Brazil’s manager after the last Champions League. However, he will wait until the Italian contract finishes with Madrid or anything earlier will be a gentleman’s agreement with the Spanish club.

Obviously the coaching staff to work with the Champions League winning coach upon expiration of his contract with Madrid is what remains in the lips of pundits that are yet unknown.
