OSIMHEN CONTINUES HAALAND CHALLENGE SCORES A BRACE AGAINST TORINO
Nigeria international Victor Osimhen continued his goal scoring form netting two goals in Napoli’s 4-0 demolition of Torino and keep his chase of Haaland for Europe top scorer spot.
The goal set him in challenge for top scorer in Europe having scored 21 goals in 23 matches. He got the opener in the nine minutes before Khyicha Kyaratskhelia doubled for the visitors from the spot kick in the 35minutes.
Osimhen added the third goal in the 51 minutes in second stanza of the match, while Tanguy Ndombele rounded off the scoring as Napoli secured a vital away win in their 10th win in 11 games in all competitions.
The top performance puts Napoli 15 points away from winning a first Scudetto since 1990 after Inter Milan were beaten 1-0 by Juventus at the San Siro.
The goal had set the atmosphere in temperament following the 23 minutes strike which a VAR check was carried out for a handball, obviously a lengthy delay but at the final it was given. The scuttle resulted to a red card for Inter’s Danilo D’Ambrosio and Juventus substitute Leandro Parredes.
