ONS JABEUR TO MISS DOHA AND DUBAI TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur would soon undergo “minor operations”, she announced Wednesday and will miss the WTA 500 tournament in Doha and WTA 1000 in Dubai this month.

The World No.3 who is unhappy missing the tournaments, wrote on his social media – Facebook Page of her intention to take care of her health base on medical experts-team recommendation,

“To take care of my health, my medical team have decided that I need get a minor surgery in order to be able to be back on courts and perform well.” Jabeur wrote.

The 29 year-old added, “I will have to retire from Doha and Dubai and this is breaking my heart.”

Jabeur, finalist of the last year Wimbledon and US Opens and first Arab to reach the quarter-finals of a grand slam tournament in Melbourne, already has felt sorry for the fans that she would have had reunion with at the tournament.

“I would like to say sorry for all the fans out there in middle-east that waited for this reunion, I promise I will come back to you stronger and healthy,” Jabeur wrote.

Meanwhile, she had pulled out of the Australian Open in 2022, due to a back injury but despite that she is enjoying rising profile and acceptance in Tunisia and Arab countries which she is nicknamed “Minister of Happiness” for the passion and deep love she has brought by her tennis exploits.
