NFF SACK SUPER EAGLES ENTIRE TECHNICAL CREW AS EGYPT AND ALGERIA’S COACH STEP DOWN

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has sacked the entire technical crew of the Senior National team the Super Eagles. This followed the failure of the Nigerian team to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Earlier reports claim Augustine Eguavoen had tendered his resignation letter as the interim coach of the national team which falls him back as the Technical Director of the NFF.

His letter is coming after the Super Eagles lost the ticket to Black Stars of Ghana in 1-1 draw on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja with Ghana one of the African flag bearer for the Qatar 2022 World Cup going through with an away goal rule.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian Pharaohs coach Carlos Queiroz has step down after his country failed to book a spot in the 2022 Qatar World Cup after losing to Senegal on penalties. Despite a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg.

The Egyptians who could not withstand the superior power of the West African country collapsed after conceding a 1-0 defeat at home with the aggregrate on level 1-1. The game went on penalties and Sadio Mane took the decisive kick and silenced the North African country out of qualification.

Also, Algerian coach, Djamel Belmadi who wept uncontrollably when the Gambian Referee, Bakary Gassama blew the final whistle in the game against Cameroon has resigned. The Algerian had come to the second leg playoff with a goal advantage.

But after the game had gone on extra time at level 1-1 on aggregrate, via Ahmed Touba’s goal, Cameroon stepped up their game with Karl Toko Ekambi scoring at the stoppage time. The goal at the twilight of the game at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium saw Algeria miss out for the second successive time at the World Cup.
