JESSICA PEGULA SET FOR HER WEDDING AFTER INDIAN WELLS OPEN EXIT

American Jessica Pegula is set for her wedding with partner Taylor Gahagen next Friday, in spite of the desert pressure playing few days to her special moment. The 27 year-old had progressed to the last eight at the BNP Paribas Open, defeating Elina Svitolina 6-1, 6-1, “painfully” she lost to Victoria Azarenka 6-4, 6-2 in the quarter final match, Wednesday. But she feels worried her guest Jen (Brady) whom she has invited might not have a dress yet for the occasion.

Jessica had an amazing run at the Indian Wells, despite the shock defeat by Victoria Azarenka got to the quarter-final of the 2021 Australian Open falling to her friend Jennifer Brady, her best in the Grand Slam performance which has seen her climb to the world No.23, her highest career ranking. Speaking to Tennis Channel Live, according to Tennis-Baseline, she admitted that it feels odd to still be in the California desert with the wedding just few days away,

“Hopefully I get back Sunday or Monday next week, but I’m supposed to get married next Friday,” Pegula told Tennis Channel host Steve Weissman on Tuesday, saying it does seem weird that I’m still here playing a tournament.

“But, it’s also kind of nice, I just get to play Indian Wells and then go get married. So it’s not a bad couple of weeks.” Pegula said.

While the expectation is high from her fans as she will walk down the aisle and into forever with her partner Taylor Gahagen come next week, her in-depth concern is still her good friend Jen (Brady).

“I invited her (to the wedding) and I’m slightly worried. I don’t know if she has a dress, she keeps saying she’s going to look for one but every time I ask her she’s like ‘ yeah I’ll go look today’ and I’m like you’re not. She says that every single day.

“So I’m a little worried, I was talking to Madison Keys, and she was like ‘I guarantee if she comes back to Orlando she’s going to be like hey, do you have a dress that I can wear.”   So yeah, definitely do not trust her.”

But the atmosphere for “sure” is one where every invited guest will enjoy a glass of wine and the aura of Jennifer’s wedding will be like one from the edge of paradise. Jen (Bady)! We await your dress for the Paparazzi!
