CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: MAGNIFICENT MESSI SCORES HIS FIRST GOAL FOR PSG AGAINST MAN CITY
Argentine international Lionel Messi showed a glimpse of what Barcelona fans had enjoyed over the past 17 years with his first magnificent goal for Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League match against English top side Manchester City at the Parc des Prince Stadium in Paris.
The former Barcelona striker has kept the world itching for his first goal since joining the club this summer after a mutual agreement with Barcelona for his exit. And it came in a night 37,000 spectators watched arguably one of the best goals of his career.

PSG fans at the Stadium cheered for their club’s first win in Champions League this campaign and former Tottenham coach and new boss in Paris Saint-Germain, Maurico Pochettino was not an exception. He admitted he has watched the Argentine captain score goals against teams but this comes with a record, “I had to celebrate it, I am sorry!”
The win is PSG first ever win against Manchester City and it was excellent goal to move the Paris club side to the top of Group A. Messi appreciated the quick response from Kylian Mbappe “It was a counter, I played it to Kylian (Mbappe) who set it back to me first time and I was able to shoot immediately.” He was happy he had been able to celebrate with his teammates and all the supporters, especially during an important match.
Messi admitted he is looking forward for the goals to continue like this in their coming games. With the goal, Messi now has scored his 121st Champions League goal in a magnificent fashion in the 74 minutes when the Stadium had 37,000 spectators and the fans returning after the global pandemic lockdown.
