POGBA REMOVES HEINEKEN BOTTLE AT POST-MATCH CONFERENCE AFTER FRANCE 1-0 DEFEAT OF GERMANY

France triumphed over Germany 1-0 in Group F game at the ongoing Euro 2020 Competition, Tuesday. Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was named man of the match, but at the post match conference, Pogba removed a bottle of Heineken beer (a non-alcohol version), a similar incident saw Juventus striker Christian Ronaldo discard Coca-Cola bottles at the pre-match conference on Monday, instead encouraged people to drink water.               

According to Sky Sports, Portugal captain Ronaldo at the news conference, said “agua” in Portuguese, appearing to encourage people to drink that instead.

Coca-Cola and Heineken are both the official sponsors of Euro 2020. Meanwhile, the share price of Coca- Cola had dropped after Ronaldo’s gesture from $56.10 to $55.22- a 1.6% dip. The Market value of Coca Cola went from $242bn to$238bn- a drop of $4bn. Although, the initial slump Coca-Cola share price, fairly quickly bounced back.  

The Portuguese has now surpassed Michel Platini record goalscorer at the European Championship finals with 11. He achieved the feat in Portugal’s 3-0 defeat of Hungary on Tuesday.
