Nigeria international VictorOSIMHEN Osimhen enter the final game of the season with his Napoli teammates with their destiny in their own hands as they welcome Hellas Verona at Stadio Maradona on Sunday in Naples.

With Napoli fighting for a Champions League spot the team presently sit on the fourth position with a point ahead of “Old Ladies”, Juventus who are on the shake-up for Champions League qualification. A win for Napoli will guarantee their Champions League spot.

Osimhen who has regained his goal scoring form is expected to lead the attack of the Neapolitan considering the confidence in the team following their back–to-back wins over Spezie and Udinese. Napoli is expected to maintain their consistency having won against FIorentina thanks to Captain Lorenzo Insigne who hit the woodwork twice, but also netted the rebound from his saved penalty against Fiorentina last weekend.

With the win against Fiorentina a boost to the fight down to the final day, Napoli’s coach Genarro Gattuso will be another direction of focus following the growing rumour of his future with the club. His team has netted 19 goals in the last six matches which a better challenge for his career might not be ruled out if he wins Sunday’s game for a Champions League spot.

Verona are the under-dogs to the final day game having seen Napoli win 17 matches in their last 21 Serie A fixtures, will play to regain pride and improve their position on the table. Although the team had previously lost to Crotone and a subsequent draw against Bologna with just a win from their last 12 league games.

Meanwhile, Napoli’s centre-back Nikola Maksimovic is expected to return at the Maradona having been cleared to return to play but Kaidou Koulibaly is likely to miss the game due to calf strain.
