ROGER FEDERER TO RETURN TO TENNIS ACTION IN GENEVA

20-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer is expected to return to tennis action at the Geneva Open according to his coaching team. The progress in his fitness is not 100% yet but his co-coach Sererin Luth is confident he will play in three weeks.

“In conditioning, Roger is still behind” co-coach Severin Luthi told SRF. Roger who sees Geneva as a special place to compete is presently practicing ahead for clay ATP 250 event as a warm up for Rowland Garros.  

Federer last played at Doha tournament in March losing to Nikoloz Basilashvill but won his game against British Daniel Evans in the opening match.

“He should be able to return at Geneva. He showed at Doha he is always capable of achieving something, so we are confident,” co-coach Ivan Ljubicic told Gazzetta dello sport.

The Basel born, Roger Federer is expected to play a number of matches to regain fitness level and co-coach Ivan Jjubicic has set their ambition high dreaming to win big titles this season.
