French international Karim Benzema scored a spectacular goal in the Champions League against Chelsea after Christian Pulisic had put Chelsea ahead in the 14th minutes.
Benzema who now has netted 71 goal in the Champions League showed class of importance as he drew level with Raul, Madrid former star striker as the joint-fourth leading score, scoring in the half mark hour in the opening leg of the semi-final,
Chelsea had started strongly dominating play with good interchange of passes pushing Madrid to do much of defending in the early part the first half. But the team missed real opportunities to add to Pulisic 14th minute goal.

“There are difficulties, of course, because we have an amazing team in front of us and they are Champions League semi-finals.” Zidane said, He praised the Chelsea team that kept their momentum high in the match, and amazingly his team suffered before regaining strength, especially in the second half.
“But I am very happy for all of the players, because we are alive. We know we have to go to London and score goals in order to win the game.”
