DIEGO MARADONA DIES AT 60 AS WORLD MOURN FOOTBALL ICON
World footbal football legend Diego Armando Maradona died Wednesday morning in Argentine at the age of 60.
A three days national mourning have been begun in Argentina to mourn the world football icon.
His body will lie in state at the Casa Rosada, the presidential palace in Buenos Aires, during that time.
Maradona won the FIFA World Cup at the Mexico 86 as captain of the Argentine national team and scored spectacular goals, especially the quarter -final game against England which he scored the first, a blatant handball, the Hand of God, Maradona described and the second a stunning solo effort that sent England out of the 1986 World Cup.

Diego Maradona became a household name in Italy, when he played for Napoli, winning two titles and the Europa Cup.
“To be Diego Maradona was incredibly beautiful,” Ardiles said.
Maradona was later in his football career after retiring from active playing , appointed the Argentine national team coach.
Meanwhile, African football legend George Weah, Kanu Nwankwo, Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o have paid tribute to the world football icon who brought glory to his nation.
Brazil football legend, Pele, age 80, paid tribute through his Twitter page,
“There is still much to be said but for now , may God give strength to family members. One day, I hope we can play, football together in the sky.”
While Argentina, legend in the current generation of footballers, Lionel Messi wrote on his Instagram,
“I keep all the beautiful moments lived with him and I wanted to take the opportunity to send my condolences to all his family and friends” Lionel Messi wrote.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea manager,Villa Boas has appealed to FIFA to retire the No10 shirt as tribute to the Argentine legend
He first played at the U-20 World Cup with Argentina before graduating to the senior team.He played at the 1982 World Cup and subsequently winning the trophy in 1986 at the Mexico 86 World Cup,
Maradona also played at the World Cup in Italian 90 and having previously played against the Super Eagles, meeting the likes of Austin Okocha, Chidi Nwanu Peter Rufai and other Super Eagles players at the US’ 94 World Cup played at the United State of America.
