AHMED MUSA TERMINATE CONTRACT WITH SAUDI CLUB AL NASSR

Nigeria’s national team captain, Ahmed Musa has mutually terminated his contract with his Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr after just two years of his contract with the club.

The 28 year-old Super Eagles winger who signed a four year contract with the Saudi club is reported, he wants to return to top flight competition in Europe.

The former Leicester City forward informed ESPN the decision was his as it was an amicable and mutual understanding with his club for the contract termination.

“I met with the club and requested that they should terminate my contract, and they were kind enough to agree to let me go”. Musa said

Meanwhile Al Nasir has announced his departure to the club fans with a farewell message on the Riyadh club’s social media pages celebrating the Nigerian captain for the friendly relationship.

He is expected to be named in Nigeria’s squad against Sierra Leone in African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City. He played in Nigeria’s last two friendly matches against Algeria and Tunisia in Austria ahead of the game against Leone Stars.
