NADAL CLAIMS 13th ROLAND GARROS TITLES AND 100th VICTORY

Spaniard, Rafael Nadal outclassed Novak Djokovic 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 to win his 13th French Open and equal Roger Federer’s all time record of 20 Grand Slam titles on Sunday.

World No.1 Djokovic defeat in the hands of the 34 year –old Nadal saw him miss of becoming the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win all four majors twice.

Nadal who first won the title in 2005, claimed his 100th victory at Roland Garros in an emphatic fashion with just two defeats to Soderling in 2009 and Djokovic in 2015.

Serbian, Djokovic who was looking to win his 18th Grand Slam title, did inspired his game in the third set when he rebelled breaking back for 3-3, only to drop serve on a double fault in the 11th game. Obviously the Manacor native, Nadal was now on the cruise smashing his 100th victory at Roland Garros with an ace.

Clay master, Nadal maintained a top notch consistency to become the oldest champion in Paris since Andres Gimeo in 1972 without dropping a set in the final.
