INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY: NIGERIA BATTLE ALGERIA IN AUSTRIA

Nigeria take on Algeria in an international friendly ahead of November Nations Cup qualifier against Sierra Leone.

The game which is organised to put the Eagles in shape set the African Champions Algeria meeting the Super Eagles for the first time this year.

The Djamel Belmadi’s team having defeated the Nigeria team in an epic semi-final at the 2019 AFCON could be tough to face as most of the players that beat the Nigerian team are still very much intact. Manchester United and Desert Foxes forward Riyad Mahrez is expected to add momentum to their attack.

The match which will be played in Austria, comes as a relief for the players after the global suspension of sporting activities, especially in Nigeria where football was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The match comes up Friday at 18.30GMT (19.30 Nigeria time) and will be shown on SuperSports.
