2020/2021 ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE KICK OFF AS DEFENDING CHAMPION ESCAPE DEFEAT

The 2020/2021 English Premier League kicked off Saturday with the game between Crystal Palace and Southampton as Nigeria Eze, who was signed from QPR for £16m made his debut for the club  alongside Belgium and Chelsea Michy Batshuayi who is on loan. The new players brought some freshness to the palace team to win 1-0.

In other games Arsenal gunned down Fulham that made a return to the Premier League 3-0, with former Chelsea winger Willian making his appearance for the gunners as leaving Chelsea.

Liverpool the defending Champion was almost defeated by newly promoted Leeds from the Championship, bur Liverpool escaped a dent with 4-3 victory.  Liverpool Manager praised the efforts of Egyptian star, Mohammed Salah
