FORMER SUPER EAGLES GOALKEEPER DELE AIYENUGBA JOINS KWARA UNITED

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba have signed for Kwara United ahead of 2020/2021 NPFL Season, the club has announced.

Aiyenugba who started his career with the Ilorin outfit in 2001 joins the team that struggled in the relegation zone before the 2019/2020 season abruptly ended due the Covid -19 pandemic.


Aiyenugba has won the Nigerian Professional League with Enyimba International of Aba in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2005.


He lifted the CAF Champions League twice with Enyimba International in 2003 and 2004. Aiyenugba also won the African Super Cup twice in 2004 and 2005. He expressed delight joining his former club;


“Kwara is my home and I am here to give my best to Kwara United and also sports loving people who are in this state,” Dele said as he completes his move to his early career club.


The 37 year-old former Peoples Elephant goaltender, also played for Israeli club Hapoel Afula and made 17 appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
