OPARANOZIE SIGN TWO YEAR DEAL WITH DIJON- Desire will raise club’s level of play, Coach
Nigeria Women’s international, Desire Oparanozie has officially signed for French women’s side, Dijon Football Cote d’Or, on a two year contract.
Desire who spent six season with French club Guingamp before opting for the new challenge had earlier stated in May she will not renew her contract with the club.

The Super Falcon forward had thanked her former club of the good relationship, especially the fans for their support and love during her career with Guingmap.
Meanwhile, the coach of Dijon has expressed delight on the signing of the Nigerian women’s striker. Club coach Yannick Chandioux strongly believes Oparanozie will help raise the standard and club’s level of play;
‘’ Each season, she has proven that she can score. She is used to D1, the type of player who will help the group to grow. Desire has a fairly important athletic profile, she is powerful. She is a player who knows almost everything and who should be invaluable in the conservation of the ball’’. He said
The 26 year-old, expressing her satisfaction on joining Dijon, said; ‘’ I am happy to start a new adventure after six years in Guingamp. I am delighted to be able to discover something else. I really like this club and the coach’s speech, which has followed me for a long time, convince me. I am very honored to sign at DFCO’’.
The Super Falcons forward is a four times African Women’s Cup of Nations winner and has represented Nigeria at three, 2011, 2015, 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cups.
