Chelsea and England national team youngster Callum Hudson –Odoi has confirmed police will not take any further action on allegation of rape against him. Hudson was arrested and questioned last month for having invited a glamour model to his flat during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The 19 year-old Chelsea winger, in an instagram post Saturday, stated that full investigation by the police has now been completed.

A further statement on his Twitter, said “At a time when there are bigger things happening in the world right now, you may also be aware of the serious allegations that were made against me.
“I have stayed silent and assisted the police fully throughout their enquiries, as I knew the day would soon come when my name would be cleared.
“Following a full and thorough investigation, the police have now confirmed they will take no further action.
“I would like to use this platform to thank everyone who has stood by my side and supported me during this difficult period.
“I have learned that being a footballer and playing for one of the best clubs in the world comes with great responsibility, and going forward I will try and use my platform as a Chelsea player to be the best role model that I can be.”

England international, Hudson-Odoi was among the first footballers to contract the coronavirus, eventually sporting activities was suspended in most countries until the gradual lifting of the lockdown recently being implemented globally.

Meanwhile the youngster has returned to training with the Chelsea squad ahead of the restart of 2019-2020 campaign against Aston Villa in English Premier League.
