BENDEL INSURANCE GOALKEEPER DIES

Bendel.Insurance Football Club has announced the shocking death of their goalkeeper Umar Ahmad Jailingo.

The Nigerian National League side Insurance of Benin goalkeeper died after a brief illness. he was hospitalised in Gombe at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, where he was being treated.

The Nigeria National League has been on suspension due to Covid-19 pandemic, and Umar Jalingo took the opportunity to get himself treated at the hospital.

Unfortunately, he died about 24 hours after being discharged from the hospital on the 27th May, 2020.

In a club statement released by Kehinde Osagiede, club media officer to Bendel Insurance. He the described the death of Umar as shocking and a great loss.

”It is unfortunate that we have lost one of our players Umar Ahmad Jalingo and the club are in pain and sorrow for the shocking demise as we pray that God should give the family, friends the fortitude to bear the loss,” Osagiede stated in a statement.

The Bendel Insurance goalstoppet, Umar Ahmad Jalingo died at the age of 27 and the deceased left behind four children and a wife, Hajia Zuleha.
