UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SET TO RESUME AUGUST
UEFA has set a new date for resumption of the Champions League on August 8 and 9. The European football body chiefs are reportedly planning the return after the suspension of the competition, no thanks to to the ravaging Covid-19 crisis.
The pandemic has disrupted most sports activities around the world and the competitions since February which some second round matches are yet to be concluded.
With most clubs in Europe bracing up to resume in June, although Belgium and Netherlands have awarded leagues to top of the table leaders. But with the latest report the remaining fixtures will be played on August 8 and 9. The quarter final will be played on August 11 to 15..
The semi-final is proposed from August 18 -22 and finals to be played in Instanbul on August 29
