AMUNEKE REMOVED AS HEAD COACH MISR EL-MAKKAASA OF EGYPT

Former Nigerian international and Coach of Egyptian outfits Misr El-Makkasa, Emmanuel Amuneke has been removed as Club Head Coach. His Management confirmed the removal Sunday less than a month after his appointment.

In the club’s statement, Ehab Galal takes over as the new coach while Amuneke will be taking over another position at the club.

“We reached an agreement with Ehab Galal to lead the team and he will start on Monday as the team prepares to play against Aswan in the Egyptian League,” the statement said.
“Amuneke will be the director of the club’s academies that we are planning to launch across Africa – the first of which was recently opened in Tanzania”, El-Makkasa added.

Emmanuel Amuneke won the CAF Nations Cup in 1994 and played a pivot role at the FIFA World Cup in 1994 for the Nigerian National team. He also won an Olympics Gold Medal at the Atalanta 96 Olympics.
