ABIA WARRIORS IMPROVE ON AWAY GAMES-Adams Jonkay

Abia Warriors goalkeeper trainer, Adams Jonkay has charged his team to go for the kill when they trade tackles with Nasarawa United in the Nigeria Professional Football League match day 18 at the Lafia city stadium on Sunday.

Jonkay disclosed to FreekickNaija that he is a bit worried about their away form this season and has called on his lads to do more to improve their records on the road.

Abia Warriors are placed 7th on the log with 24 points.

“Our record on the road doesn’t speak well for us. ” We have to hit the ground running as quickly as possible and we want to start with a win in Lafia.

“Losing four games and three draws on the road is a not too impressive result for a club like Abia Warriors. We are not too satisfied with our away results because we are targeting a continental ticket by the end of the season.

“We are digging deep to create a new style that will make us hold most of the teams away because most goals we conceded are avoidable. The boys are getting to understand our new approach to away games and am very sure they will stick to it.

“The set of players we have are very hardworking and disciplined who in turn knows what the management goal is all about and what the coaches want from them.

“I can assure you with our new approach and tactics, the lads will deliver results on the road starting with Sunday’s game,” said Jonkay.
