CHRISTIAN OBODO INVOLVES IN CAR ACCIDENT

Former Nigero Super Eagles Midfielder Christian Obodo, on Sunday, January 26, cheated death after involving in a serious car accident in Delta State.

The accident occured around Ozo road in Delta State with the car badly damaged.

The former Fiorentina, Torino and Udinese midfielder played 21 times for Nigeria between 2003–2008. Scoring 4 goals. He was regarded as one of Nigeria’s most skillful and talented midfielders considering his style of play for the Super Eagles then.

Obodo was reportedly kidnapped by gunmen near Warri in 2012. He was rescued the next day in nearby Isoko by men of the Nigerian police force, no ransom was paid, and suspects were arrested.
