EMMANUEL AMUNEKE APPOINTED HEAD COACH MISR EL-MAKASA OF EGYPT
Former Nigeria International Emmanuel Amuneke has been appointed as Head Coach of Egyptian side Misr El-Makasa
Nigerian legend Amuneke coached Nigeria’s U17 FIFA World Cup winning team of 2015 and won the Nations Cup in 1994. He was an outstanding player in the Nigeria Team at the FIFA World Cup, USA 94. He also won an Olympic Gold Medal at Atalanta Olympics 1996.
The 49-year-old was appointed head coach of Tanzania in 2018 where he guided them to their first Africa Cup of Nations since 1980.
Amuneke parted ways with Tanzania mutually after a group stage exit at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He replaces Head coach Ahmed Mido who was sacked due to poor string of result.
Misr El-Makasa are currently lying 15th on the league table with only goals difference separating them away from the relegation zone.
