NIGERIAN TRIO, WILFRED NDIDI, IDION IGHALO, VICTOR OSIMHEN AMONG LIST OF NORMINEES FOR CAF AFRICAN PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Confederation of African Football CAF has announced nominees for CAF Award 2019. The event will be held in Hurghada Egypt.

Some of the categories for the ceremony include African Player of the Year, Women’s Player of the Year, National Team of the Year (Men & Women), Youth Player of the Year and Coach of the Year (Men & Women).

Liverpool and Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah is in line for a third individual accolade, having won the African Player of The Year 2018. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang makes the norminees list for the sixth consecutive year, he won the 2015 African Player of The year. Nigeria trio Victor Osimhen, Odion Ighalo and Wilfred Ndidi will also rival each other alongside South Africa’s Percy Tau and Ghana’s Thomas Partey.

Nigeria Asisat Oshoala ,Cameroon’s Ajara Nchout and reigning African Women Footballer of the Year Thembi Kgatlana is once more shortlisted
