Super Eagles on Wednesday beat Squirrels of Benin 2-1 to earn its first three points in Group L in the on going qualification matches for 2021 African Naions Cup.Goal from Victor Osimhen after Ola Aina was fouled in the box by Squirrel defender, took the spot penalty, scored to put the home fans to jubilation at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo .

Bordeaux FC striker, Uche Kalu netted the second goal for the Super Eagles’ who were recovering from an early lead by the Squirrel, through Stephane Sessegnon, to give the winning strike,. With the result Super Eagles started their Africa Nations Cup qualifying campaign on a positive note

Nigea is in Group L alongside Benin Republic, Lesotho and Sierra Leone. With the 2-1 win against Benin, Nigeria top the group with three points.
